Job Description Job Description Position Summary As Lead Carpenter at SES Construction, you will oversee and participate in all phases of carpentry work, from framing to finish. You will be responsible for leading a team of carpenters, ensuring the quality of work meets our high standards, and projects are completed on time and within budget. This role requires a hands-on leader with a strong work ethic and a commitment to safety and excellence. Key Responsibilities: * Lead and manage a carpentry team, assigning tasks and monitoring progress to ensure project milestones are met. * Perform a wide range of carpentry tasks, including framing, roofing, finishing, and custom work, with a high level of craftsmanship. * Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine specifications and calculate material requirements. * Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and other trades to ensure smooth project execution. * Maintain a safe and clean worksite, adhering to company safety policies and OSHA regulations. * Train and mentor junior carpenters and apprentices, promoting a culture of learning and professionalism. * Provide input on project planning and scheduling, helping to identify potential efficiencies or issues. Qualifications: * Proven experience as a Carpenter, with a minimum of 3-5 years in a lead role. * Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques and methods, including installation, construction, and repair. * Excellent ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings. * Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team. * Good communication and interpersonal skills, capable of coordinating effectively with team members, management, and clients. * Familiarity with construction management software is a plus. * Commitment to safety and quality. * Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. * High school diploma or equivalent; further education or certification in construction or carpentry is highly advantageous.
